BTG operates in an environmentally responsible manner by constantly finding new ways to reduce our environmental footprint in the areas of energy and water consumption, CO2 emissions and waste.
BTG was one of the first companies in Israel to be awarded ISO 14001 certification for its Environmental Management System in in 1997. Our Be'er Tuvia facility and its environmental management system are audited on an ongoing basis by the Standards Institution of Israel, the local ISO certification body.
Occupational health, safety, material management , waste and energy management are only some of the issues in which BTG is permanently engaged.
Our environmental policy aims for and achieves the following objectives:
Improving the efficiency and sustainability of our business activities and products, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste
Requiring contractors working in BTG to conform to regulatory requirements and meeting applicable internal Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) standards
Establishing goals and strategies for BTG and reporting to our global company
Integrating sound EHS practices consistent with our management system into all aspects of the business
